About
NUNCHI /NUN-CHI/ noun. The art of reading the room.
Some brands explain themselves. We'd rather you just get it.
Nunchi Club started with a simple observation the visual culture of Korea and Japan in the 80s and 90s was genuinely great. The mascots, the packaging, the sports graphics, the snack branding. All of it carried a warmth and a specificity that never really got its moment in the West. We thought it deserved one.
Every tee we make is built around a piece of that world. An Olympic mascot. A convenience store drink. A baseball team nobody outside Seoul remembers but everybody who grew up there loves. We research the reference, find what made it stick, and put it on a garment-washed blank that feels like it's been in someone's rotation for a decade.
We print in limited runs. No reprints. When a drop is gone, it's gone — not because we're trying to manufacture urgency, but because that's how it should work. The tee means something because not everyone has it.
The tees 100% cotton. Garment-washed before they reach you. The graphics are faded by design not distressed for the sake of it, but treated to sit the way a real vintage tee sits after years of washes and wears. Boxy cut. Worn loose. That's the fit.
The drops Small runs. Deliberate references. We're not churning product we're building a catalogue of things worth owning. Sign up to the mailer if you want first access. We don't send many, and we don't send filler.
